(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 7 - Istat said Thursday that the number of
Italian centenarians has increased by more than 30% over the
last 10 years.
The national statistics agency said that 22,552 people resident
in Italy were aged 100 or over on January 1, 2024, compared to
17,252 in 2014.
It said that 81% of the centenarians were women. (ANSA).
