(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 12 - President Sergio Mattarella said
Tuesday that he has received pledges in relation to the removal
of barriers to trade with China during his ongoing visit to the
country.
"The reciprocal opening of markets leads to growth that is good
for both sides and beneficial for all the countries of the
European Union," Mattarella said during a meeting with Italian
entrepreneurs in Canton, adding that a level playing field and
the "removal of obstacles" that still exist must be ensured.
"We have called for this principle to be respected out of mutual
interest, receiving some assurances that we hope will be
developed in the near future". (ANSA).
