(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 13 - Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri on
Wednesday said a preliminary exam of projects carried out by
companies involved in an ongoing investigation by the local
State attorney's office into corruption, auction rigging and
fraud in public contracts for road maintenance in the Italian
capital, does not appear to involve work connected to the Roman
Catholic Jubilee Holy Year in 2025.
"I have ordered an in-depth inspection of all interventions
carried out by firms involved in the ongoing investigation.
"At the moment, no interventions connected to the Jubilee appear
to be involved, although the inspection is naturally still
ongoing", the mayor said. (ANSA).
