(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 15 - Italy's public debt was largely
stable at close to three billion euros in September, the Bank of
Italy said on Friday.
The central bank said the national debt was 2,962.3 billion
euros in September, up by 700 million compared to August.
It said a reduction in Treasury liquidity of 24.9 billion to
40.3 did not fully offset
general government borrowing of 25.5 billion.
The bank said that tax revenues amounted to 38.5 billion euros
in September, an increase of 8.6%, or 3.0 billion euros, on the
corresponding month in 2023.
It said tax revenues for the first nine months of 2024 totaled
410.1 billion euros, an increase of 5.7%, or 22.3 billion euros,
on the equivalent period last year. (ANSA).
