(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 18 - A 13-year-old boy from Giugliano,
near Naples, needed treatment for a stab wound to his left thigh
after being attacked by a younger boy, aged around 10, over a
soccer ball late on Sunday.
It is the latest in a series of recent episodes of violence
involving young people in the Naples area.
The victim reported to the police that the younger boy demanded
he hand over the ball he was playing with on a five-a-side
football pitch with some friends.
He said that, when he refused, the assailant pulled out a
penknife and stabbed him.
The victim said he had never met the younger boy before.
Police are working to identify him. (ANSA).
