(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Eleven guards from Trapani's Cerulli
prison were put under house arrest and another 14 were suspended
from duty on Wednesday in relation to a probe into the alleged
abuse of inmates.
The suspects face charges of torture, abuse of authority and
making false declarations.
Prosecutors in the Sicilian city have put a total of 46 people
under investigation in relation to the probe that started in
2021. (ANSA).
