(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 8 - A cold snap is biting Italy with
temperatures falling from recent unseasonable highs to about
average for the time of year.
The central Apennines and Sardinia's highest peaks saw their
first dusting of snow Sunday while snow piled up in the Alps.
Most of the country was also swept by icy rain and high winds.
Ferry services in the Bay of Naples were suspended because of
heavy seas. (ANSA).
