Soccer: Roma believe in 'miracle' title win
Garcia's men eight points behind Juve after Parma victory
03 April, 11:22Leaders Juve, who are aiming for their third consecutive league title, were 14 points ahead of second-placed Roma last week.
But Roma took advantage of Juve losing 2-0 at Napoli at the weekend, beating Sassuolo 2-0, and then gained more ground by seeing off Parma in a spectacular home display Wednesday in a game they had in hand.
Eight points is still a big lead with only seven games left to go, but Garcia is taking heart from the fact that such remarkable comebacks are not unprecedented in soccer.
"We've taken a step forward, not we have to keep winning to guarantee we come at least second and to have a chance of reaching Juventus," said the Frenchman, who has transformed Roma into title contenders after several disappointing campaigns since taking over in the close season. "Miracles have happened in the past. A few days ago we were 14 points behind, now we are eight adrift, so we can still believe".
