More storms will hit the north of
Italy this weekend but hot and sunny weather will return to all
parts from Monday, weathermen said Saturday.
"Over the next few hours," said Antonio Sanò of the IlMeteo.it
website, "the first stormy impulse will approach Italy worsening
the weather in Alpine sectors where storms will break out during
the course of the afternoon, which could impinge onto the nearby
plains. It will be sunny everywhere else with a still-pleasant
degree of heat.
"Tomorrow the second unstable impulse will come, stronger than
the first. is time the thunderstorms, markedly stronger, as well
as affecting Alpine and pre-Alpine sectors, will spread like
wildfire across the low-lying areas of Piedmont, Lombardy and
central-western Veneto.
"The phenomena could prove to be very intense, with local 'water
bombs'.
"The rest of Italy, on the other hand, will be protected by the
anticyclone, which starting from next week will conquer the
whole country".
