The Garda communities will be among
the excellences that will be protagonists at the Italy Pavilion
at Expo 2025 Osaka.
Internationalization of businesses and attraction of investments
in the territories were among the central themes of the event
'Lake Garda towards Expo 2025 Osaka', organized by the Italian
Chamber of Commerce in Japan and the General Commissariat for
Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, under the aegis of the Chamber of
Commerce of Brescia.
The seminar saw the participation of Mario Vattani, Commissioner
General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Senator Mariastella
Gelmini, president of the Garda Community, and numerous
representatives of local institutions and the business world.
Italy's goal at Expo 2025 Osaka is to enhance the territorial
excellence and Italian entrepreneurial realities that want to
project themselves into the Japanese and Asian markets.
"Garda, a vast area in the heart of Europe, has always been a
crossroads of peoples, an antechamber of the East and
historically at the center of exchanges and encounters between
people and goods", declared Senator Mariastella Gelmini,
president of the Garda Community.
"In this context, Garda has chosen to present itself at Expo
2025 Osaka to show one of the most dynamic faces of Italy and to
compare itself with other international experiences, in order to
grow, learn and continue to qualify".
"Lake Garda, one of the excellences of Italian tourism in the
world, embraces three territories - Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino -
that are heterogeneous realities but united by the Italian
spirit of know-how that distinguishes us in the world", declared
Ambassador Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo
2025 Osaka.
"It is important to take advantage of the great global showcase
of Expo to better publicize, in a rapidly growing region of the
world, the richness and variety of our territorial excellences.
"Expo 2025 Osaka represents an important opportunity for
internationalization and investment attraction and is a unique
occasion to stimulate collaborations in the fields of
technology, tourism and high craftsmanship".
Davide Fantoni, Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of
Commerce in Japan, stated that "Italy has occupied a privileged
place in the hearts of the Japanese for decades now, but the
concept of traveling in Italy has changed radically over the
years.
"Although both artistic and culinary culture remain the main
attraction, today's Japanese prefer to discover new realities,
capable of providing unique sensations outside of conventional
tourist schemes.
"A reality like that of Lake Garda and its surrounding area can
offer multiple opportunities to build tailor-made packages for
the
new Japanese traveler".
Lake Garda, a symbol of beauty and tradition,
represents an ideal bridge between Italy and Japan, uniting the
excellences of the two cultures. Every year, the Lake attracts
millions of tourists, many of them Japanese, confirming the
importance of this area as a global reference point.
The theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, 'Designing future society for our
lives', fits perfectly with the values ;;that Lake Garda
represents: internationalization, sustainability and innovation.
The Lake is an example of quality of life, wellbeing and
culture, with a long tradition of trade with the East.
Expo 2025 will be held in Osaka from 13 April to 13 October 2025
and has as its theme 'Designing future society for our lives'.
The Italy Pavilion, designed by architect Mario Cucinella,
interprets it with 'Art regenerates life'.
