Generali on Friday posted 9-month
operating profit up 7.9% to 5.4 billion euros.
This was mainly thanks to the life and asset & wealth management
segments, the Trieste-based insurance giant said.
Gross premiums rose to 70.7 billion (+18.1%), driven by both
segments, life (+23.3%) and non-life (+9.8%).
Normalized net profit fell to 2.9 billion (-3.3%) but excluding
the non-recurring capital gain recorded in 2023 it would have
grown by 3.4%.
Net profit grew to 3 billion (+5%).
In the third quarter, operating result ran to 1,674 million
(+25%), normalized profit to 855 million (+31.7%) and net profit
to 909 million (+57.1%).
