In the first half of the year,
Generali posted gross premiums of EUR 50.1bn (+20.4%), thanks to
strong growth in the life (+26.6%) and non-life (+10.5%)
segments, the Trieste-based insurer said Friday.
Life net inflows were positive at EUR 5.1bn (it was negative at
EUR 870m). The operating result was EUR 3.7bn (+1.6%) and the
normalised net profit EUR 2bn (-13.1%) as a result of realised
non-recurring gains and other one-offs in the first six months
of 2023.
Excluding these effects, normalised net profit would be stable.
