In July, Italy's electricity
requirements amounted to 31.3 billion kWh, an increase of 4.5%
compared to July 2023.
Griid operator Terna said this is the highest monthly figure for
July in terms of consumption since 2015.
The positive change, which fully recovers the negative figure
for July last year (-3.4%), was achieved with two extra working
days (23 compared to 21) and an average monthly temperature
substantially in line with July 2023, with the exception of the
last week of the month, during which the average temperature
exceeded that of the same period last year by 3 C°.
