The premiere of the film 'Wishing on a Star', an international co-production involving Italy and Slovakia, was held yesterday at the Kino Lumière in Bratislava, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Bratislava.
The film-documentary with humorous tones, directed by the Slovakian Peter Kerekeš (author of internationally acclaimed films such as 66 sezón, Cooking History, 107 Mothers) and screenplay by Erica Barbiani, was largely shot in Italy and was recently presented in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Biennale.
The preview of the film in Bratislava, which was attended by several local personalities from the world of culture and the silver screen in particular, was also attended by Elisa Polsinelli, Deputy Head of Mission of the Italian Embassy in Bratislava, who met Luciana de Leoni d'Asparedo, the main protagonist, and the actresses Adriana and Giuliana Vangone, a duo with a strong following on social networks, at the end of the screening.
After the Bratislava stop, the film will be distributed by Filmtopia in all cinemas in Slovakia's major cities.
