Italy took centre stage at the 2024 edition of the United Nations Women's Association (UNWG) Bazaar, the annual charity event held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
This year's initiative was aimed at raising funds to finance educational programmes for children in various developing countries. The event was attended by more than a thousand visitors and involved around one hundred exhibiting countries, which offered typical national handicrafts and cuisine.
As in previous editions, the Italian stand, which was also visited by the Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations, Vincenzo Grassi, was a great success with the public, presenting excellent clothing and knitwear, as well as food and wine products typical of the Mediterranean diet. All the items were made available free of charge by numerous national companies, who wanted to contribute to the solidarity initiative. Thanks to the generous sponsors who represented 'Made in Italy' in its essential components of creativity and social responsibility, at the end of the event Italy was thus able to donate an important contribution to the United Nations Women's Association, placing itself once again this year among the major donor countries.
