Food bloggers, journalists, restaurateurs and representatives of the retail trade crowded the lounge of the restaurant 'Freilager, cucina da Colaianni' in Zurich on the occasion of the opening of the 9th edition of the 'Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel mondo'. Welcomed by star chefs Antonio Colaianni and Claudio Sadler, the guests enjoyed the best of Italian cuisine under the motto of the evening: 'Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition'.
Introducing the evening, organised by the Consulate General in collaboration with Ice Agenzia per la promozione all'estero e l'internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane, the Consul General, Mario Baldi, recalled how the Italian Cuisine Week is "a tribute to the richness of our gastronomic culture, which combines health and sustainability, bringing to the table the value of the Mediterranean diet with its benefits of a healthy and balanced lifestyle".
For his part, the director of the Icedi Berne Office, Samuele Porsia, emphasised the passion of the Swiss for Italian cuisine, witnessed by the constant growth of exports of Italian products in the agri-food sector, and the need to continue to focus on quality in order to consolidate and further increase the market share of our products in Switzerland.
The evening in Zurich is the first of a series of events that Ice and the consular network in Switzerland will organise on the occasion of the Italian Cuisine Week.
