A delegation from the philanthropic association 'Spirit Now London' visited the contemporary art collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This was announced by the same ministry, emphasising that the initiative is part of 'a broader project supported by the Maire group that embraces art, technology and sustainability with the aim of promoting culture and creativity as tools for dialogue and innovation'.
The visit focused on the works of the great Italian masters of the second half of the 20th century, including representatives of the Informal movement such as Burri, Vedova and Novelli, or Forma 1 artists such as Sanfilippo, Dorazio and Consagra. During the visit, the participants saw Minister Plenipotentiary Alessandro De Pedys, Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy at the Farnesina," the ministry continued. The meeting was "an opportunity to underline the importance of collaboration between public institutions and private entities with the common aim of promoting culture and dialogue.
The 'Spirit Now London' project aims to enhance contemporary art by promoting dialogue between artists, collectors and the public through the organisation of exhibitions and guided tours. The Maire Group, which operates in the field of technology and sustainability, supports cultural and philanthropic projects that stimulate discussion on global issues. The Farnesina Collection," the ministry recalled, "is the contemporary art collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. It consists of over 700 works offered on free loan by artists, archives, foundations and private individuals. The Collection offers a wide and varied overview of the main Italian artistic trends - from works on canvas to installations, from graphic works to photography - and is open to the public every last Friday of the month in cooperation with the Italian Touring Club and during the Giornata del Contemporaneo, Open House Roma and Rome Future Week.
