The situation of Italians in Syria is
under control, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Saturday.
"At the moment there are no worries," for Italian citizens in
Syria, said Tajani, underlining that there are about 300
Italians living in Syria.
"Some have managed to leave the country. However, all are in
contact with our Embassy in Damascus. "The situation of our
fellow citizens is under control."
Anti-Assad and pro-Turkish Islamist rebels have made major gains
this week as they advance of the capital Damascus.
