(ANSA-AFP) - VIENNA, 09 GIU - Austria's far-right party was
leading the EU elections vote count, according to exit polls on
Sunday, the first time the group has led a nation-wide ballot in
the Alpine country. The Freedom Party (FPOe) gained 27 percent
of the votes, ahead of the now ruling conservative People's
Party (OeVP), who was tied in second place with the Social
Democrats (SPOe) at around 23 percent, according to exit polls
released after the close of voting. (ANSA-AFP).
