ROME, July 15 — ITA Airways and
Croatia Airlines announced expanding their codeshare agreement.
According to a joint press release, this collaboration will
further increase travel options for both airlines' customers and
enhance connectivity between the two countries.
Currently, ITA Airways applies its AZ code to flights
operated by Croatia Airlines departing from Rome Fiumicino
International Airport to Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. Thanks to
the expanded collaboration between the two airlines, Croatia
Airlines' OU code will be applied to domestic connections
operated by ITA Airways between Rome Fiumicino and the cities of
Palermo, Bologna, Florence, and Naples starting today, thereby
offering passengers additional choices.
With the strengthened agreement, business and leisure
travelers will have more travel options and convenience on
flights within the two airlines' networks.
Italy will become more accessible to Croatia Airlines
customers, thanks to one-stop connections from Rome to the
listed domestic destinations. This will significantly increase
traffic flows between Italy and Croatia, opening up new
opportunities for business travelers and vacationers.
