"Together with our partners, we
will continue to commit ourselves to mediating a truce between
Israel and Hezbollah," said German chancellor Olaf Scholz says
it in a note on the Iranian attack in Israel. "Such a truce must
begin with the full implementation of UN resolution 1701, which
clearly calls for withdrawal from Israel's border areas," he
adds. "This would open the way to return to the population in
the north of Israel while also opening a perspective to
consolidate the State of Lebanon," he concluded.
