In response to Germany's stricter
controls at all German land borders, Greek Prime Minister
Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated his position that Europe's
solution to the migration problem cannot be the unilateral
abolition of the Schengen Agreement, the daily Kathimerini
reported. "The answer can be a fair compromise on European
border security," Mitsotakis said in an interview with Talk
Radio. "We shouldn't throw the ball into the court of the
countries of first entry," he noted.
