The Arctic cold wave reduced
European gas stocks by 82.64% to 941.64 TWh. In fact, on January
8th, they were at 84% at 967 TWh, with a daily drop of 0.82% on
average. Italian inventories fell 79.4% from 156.TWh to 152.39
TWh, with a daily average decline of 0.62%. Germany, the leading
European country in terms of inventories, fell below the 90%
threshold for the first time, with 224 TWh on January 8th
falling to 87.6% at 223.24 TWh three days later, with a daily
average drop of 1.17%.
