"The Global Gateway is the solution
offered by the EU to support the economy: these plans have
become pillars for investing in connectivity on transport and
markets. Implementation is already underway in the Balkans, with
infrastructure connecting Italy to the Black Sea.'' The European
Commissioner for Neighborhood Policies, Olivér Várhelyi, said
this in a video message to the seminar 'Global Gateway EU and
Private Sector - Challenges and Opportunities for the Italian
System,' organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
International Cooperation, in agreement with the EU Commission
and in collaboration with ICE, Italian Trade & Investment
Agency.
"We are also supporting the green transition in this region -
he added - and creating the conditions to enable the next
Commission to move forward on the enlargement."
