(ANSA-AFP) - BRUSSELS, MAY 30 - EU ministers agreed on
Thursday to impose "prohibitive" duties from July 1 on grain
imports from Russia, which had until now been largely exempt
from tariffs, the bloc's trade commissioner said. The European
Commission proposed the measure in March. Brussels hopes it will
"restrict Russia revenues to fund its war on Ukraine (and)
tackle illegal Russian exports of stolen Ukraine grain into EU
markets", Valdis Dombrovskis said on social media. (ANSA-AFP).
