Poland does not fear a Russian
nuclear attack in Ukraine, believing there is currently no
indication of such an eventuality. "There are zero signs that
(the Russians) would be ready for a nuclear attack," Polish
Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said in an 'interview with
Bild am Sonntag. In his reasoning, moreover, the chain of
command that would lead to the execution of such an attack could
also break down: "Putin would have to convince the generals to
execute such a command. And these generals would know that such
an order would lead them to become war criminals. They would
then have the choice between executing the order or letting
Putin fall."
