"Latvia and the United States are
in complete agreement: strong support and assistance to Ukraine
in its fight against the Russian aggressor must continue. The
stronger positions Ukraine has on the battlefield, the better it
will be at the peace talks." This was stated by Latvian Foreign
Minister Baiba Braze during a visit to the United States that
ended yesterday. Braze, in this regard, expressed Riga's desire
to deepen U.S. economic involvement in Latvia, particularly in
the areas of military industry, information and communication
technology, and the development of artificial intelligence,
areas that are not only prerequisites for economic growth, but
contribute to the increase of common security. The minister also
reiterated the need for individual countries in the Atlantic
Alliance to provide for increased military spending and
increasing efforts to develop the weapons industry in Europe.
