There will be over six thousand participants from over 60 countries in the 33rd edition of the Karpacz Economic Forum, the so-called Davos of the East, the most important conference in Central-Eastern Europe, scheduled from 3 to 5 September with a focus on artificial intelligence.
The theme of this year's event - organized by the Foundation Institute for Oriental Studies, in collaboration with the city of Karpacz (Poland) and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship - is "The time of new leaders: shaping the future together".
The Economic Forum launched 30 years ago, is a meeting for representatives of politics, business, and science: among the guests there are presidents, heads of government, ministers, politicians and officials of local authorities, presidents of companies, men of culture, renowned scientists, journalists, commentators and representatives of non-governmental organisations.
This year's edition features over 350 debates: topics include the impact of the war in Ukraine on the global security architecture, issues related to the green future, the question of ethics in the development of artificial intelligence, as well as economic challenges in the era of crises in the third decade of the 21st century.
This year the Forum formula will be enriched with new attractive elements for participants, including new thematic areas in the program, a greater number of event formats, as well as a special stage with the most important events. One of the key themes will be the AI ;;Forum thematic path, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the largest Polish universities, in which the most important topics related to artificial intelligence and its impact on the future of Poland will be discussed.
During the 33rd edition of the Forum, the Report on the state of the economy of Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe will be presented: it is a scientific study, prepared by the organizing body together with the Warsaw Economic School.
The awards for exceptional personalities and deserving companies and organizations are back again this year. There are three categories: Man of the Year, Company of the Year and Central and Eastern European Non-Governmental Organization of the Year.
