Gold medal for the Oro dei
patriarchi and silver for the Rosso dei patriarchi. The two most
representative wines of the "Antonio Servadei" university
agricultural company of the University of Udine have conquered
the highest steps of the podium at the wine competition between
European universities "International university wine
competition" of Maribor (Slovenia). For the third consecutive
year, the Friulian University has seen awards for its wines
obtained from the blend of some resistant vine varieties,
selected and cultivated by the agricultural company. The
initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between European
universities in the fields of agriculture and life sciences and
to transfer knowledge, ideas and experiences.
"This year too, a great satisfaction - underlines the
director of the university agricultural company "Antonio
Servadei", Piergiorgio Comuzzo - as proof of the commitment of
the researchers who selected these varieties, of the staff of
the agricultural company who harvested the grapes and of the
collaboration with the Forchir company which vinified them and
made the best of them. Commitment to research and connection
with the territory are a trademark for the agricultural company
as well as for the University".
