Heavy rainfall and snow were reported
across southern Italy on Sunday.
Road travel on Sunday was particularly affected in the Campania
region, specifically in areas south of Salerno which were hit by
heavy snow.
Rain storms and cold temperatures were reported in Naples while
the island of Capri was isolated on Sunday morning due to a
storm that hit the Gulf of Naples.
Mt Vesuvius was dusted by its first snowfall of the year as a
cold snap bit southern Italy.
The summit of the volcano overlooking Naples was sprinkled with
snow.
High winds and heavy rain also pelted parts of Sicily.
