Inter Milan clinched a 1-0 victory at
Venezia on Sunday thanks to an early goal from Matteo Darmian
that secured them a second place in the Serie A standings.
Following the match, Inter moved on to 43 points, one ahead of
Atalanta, who were held to a goalless draw at Udinese a day
earlier.
Serie leaders Napoli have 44 points but played an additional
game.
Meanwhile Venezia are next to last on 14 points.
And in another match on Sunday afternoon, Genoa secured their
first home victory of the season, beating Parma 1-0.
