From 12 to 14 September the Embassy of Italy in Sofia, the Italian Cultural Institute, the ICE Agency and Confindustria Bulgaria are organising, in cooperation with the Municipality of Bratsigovo and the local Chambers of Architects and Builders, the fourth edition of the Forum "Bratsigovo - The Stone Stream of Time".
This year's edition of the Forum, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, will be dedicated to exchanges between Italy and Bulgaria in the fields of archaeology and architecture.
The first day, dedicated to greetings from the institutions and centred on the international Bulgaria-Italy round table "Archaeology and architecture - achievements and perspectives", will end with a concert in the Central Square by the TISCALI popular choir, which will accompany those present on a journey of discovery through the musical culture of Sardinia. The second day's programme will offer professional lectures by speakers and experts from Italy (Andrea Griletto - Director of Assorestauro in Italy; arch. Stefano Borghini - Archaeological Park of the Colosseum; Engineer Vincenzo Calvanese - Technical Office Archaeological Park of Pompeii) and from Bulgaria, to discover the opportunities for cooperation between archaeologists, architects, engineers and restorers. The third day will be dedicated to mosaics and will include a conference on the art of Roman mosaics in Italy, a hands-on workshop, an architectural workshop for children, and a 'paintings on stone' competition.
