Applying the critical principles of
Industry 4.0 to the Blue Economy, helping small and medium-sized
enterprises operating on the two sides of the Adriatic coast to
innovate products and production processes by focusing on
technological advancement, digitalization, and environmentally
friendly forms of sustainable development. All these goals make
up the starting point of the Best 4.0 project, in which CNA
Ancona is a partner, CNA Ferrara is the lead partner, and which
includes other Italian and Croatian partners as part of the
European Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 program.
The project's first in-person meeting, a testament to our
collective commitment, was held in Cna Ferrara's conference
hall. This meeting aimed to coordinate the partners involved and
the actions that will be carried out. After introductory
greetings, Paolo Rotoni, project manager of the Interreg
Italy-Croatia program, gave the opening speech, underscoring the
collaborative spirit of this endeavor.
All partners attended the introductory session, including Cna
Ancona, Area Science Park of Trieste, the Croatian Chamber of
Commerce, Cetma—European Research Center of Brindisi, the
Istrian Development Agency Ida, Dih AgriFood Croatia, and the
University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies.
"The project," shares Lucia Trenta, project manager for CNA
Ancona, "is brimming with potential and has some exciting goals
that we are determined to achieve by July 2026. We aim to create
an inventory of digital solutions for the blue economy, build a
network of Digital Innovation Hubs to support SMEs (Small and
Medium Enterprises) in their digital transformation, and provide
innovative solutions and support to 80 SMEs in blue economy
sectors. With our collective efforts, we are confident in our
ability to make a significant impact.
