A portrait tracing a border town's
territory, identity, traditions, and historical heritage through
five short films to enhance Nova Gorica and Gorizia on the
occasion of Go!2025, European Capital of Culture 2025. This is
the goal of "Corti senza confine" (ed. Short without borders), a
project launched with a grant from the Central Directorate for
Culture and Sports awarded to the FVG film commission
PromoTurismoFvg.
The public notice, worth 500,000 euros, provides - the FVG
Region informs - for grants to make five fiction or animation
productions capable of describing the Gorizia and cross-border
territory.
The shorts must tell an "original and unpublished story
related to the concept of borderlessness," starting and ending
the plot in the Transalpina square, an icon of the fall of
borders.
Applications must be submitted by March 31. The five short
films awarded the grant - granted in the maximum amount of
100,000 euros each - must be delivered by October 30. Film and
audiovisual production companies with registered offices in an
EU country, candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia,
Turkey, and Ukraine), potential candidates (Kosovo and Georgia),
and Efta countries are eligible for the call.
