"The good news is that our
current dispute with Sweden is moving toward a conclusion.
Together with the Swedish prime minister we have taken important
steps to rebuild trust. We are on track to ratify Sweden's
membership in NATO at the beginning of the spring session of
Parliament." This was said by Hungary's prime minister, Viktor
Orban, delivering his State of the Nation address in Budapest.
Probably the day for the ratification vote will be Feb. 26.
Hungary remains the last member state of the Atlantic Alliance
not to have ratified Sweden's NATO membership, following
Turkey's green light in recent weeks.
