Almost one in every two Muslim
respondents (47%) is a victim of racism and discrimination in
their daily lives, a significant increase from 39% in 2016.
Muslim respondents in Austria (71%), Germany (68%), and Finland
(63%), reported the highest rates of racial discrimination in
the five years preceding the survey. In contrast, Sweden, Spain,
and Italy (tied with Greece) had the lowest rates of racial
discrimination, at 22, 30, and 34%, respectively. This is the
conclusion reached by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)
in its report "Being Muslim in the EU."
