Thousands of tourists returning
from vacations on the Croatian coast and workers returning to
Northern Italy from Eastern Europe will start passing on the
Autostrade Alto Adriatico network tomorrow. The concessionaire
recalls that in most cases, the entrance door will be the
Trieste Lisert barrier. On Saturday, the most critical
situations could occur there. Estimates indicate that between
185,000 and 194,000 vehicles will traverse the entire network.
Traffic will increase along the western carriageway and, by
extension, along the route from Trieste to Venice, with possible
backups and slowdowns near the seaside resort interchanges and
the third lane construction sites. Sunday will also experience
heavy traffic.
