During raids conducted by the
competent authorities on Mykonos, Paros, and Rhodes, police in
Greece arrested 22 more people for violating regulations on
occupying public space on beaches, according to the daily
Kathimerini. During the raids, inspectors discovered loungers
and umbrellas without permits or within five metres of the
shoreline, as well as spaces being used that fall under
archaeological protection legislation.
